National and city pride for the UK, starting with London: a city that is home to many homes.
The United Kingdom is a country people belong to in layers. You can be from south of the river and from Colombo, from a particular postcode and from another continent, and nobody finds this strange. That is why the UK sits naturally beside Sri Lanka on this site: a Sri Lankan Londoner carries two places at once, and that feeling is what Ceylon Trends is built on.
This is the hub for every UK design and story, organised by location across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
London comes first: grey skies taken personally, a café you would defend to strangers, the quiet pride of knowing a shortcut. The designs draw on rainy-day humour, neighbourhood typography, café life and hand-drawn skylines.
Manchester, Edinburgh, Liverpool, Glasgow, Cardiff, Belfast and more are listed below, and each gets its own page as soon as there is something worth reading.
If you are shopping for someone who has moved away, start with our guide to gifts for someone who has left London.
